It's the start of a New Year. Well it is 12 Days in to a new year, i am just a bit late.
However, already, up and down the country people are regretting their New Years Resolutions.
Dry January?
Everybody knows somebody going:
"Oh, but i feel so much better in the morning!"
"I am TOXINLESS"
"I may even do dry February".
They are liars.
Tell them you had two glasses of red last night with a pie with some ale in it and watch the jealousy momentarily register across their face, before they tell you how much weight they've lost from it and update their status to "TWELVE DAYS SOBER". Yawn.
Whilst you're at it, please tell them toxin less is not a thing. And it is certainly not a good thing.
Besides, i am unemployed, i cannot be unemployed and sober. Ridiculous.

CAVEMAN DIET?
Or that ridiculous 2:5 thing.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no and to quote the great Michelle Visage...
I hate diets. Especially complicated faddy ones.
Instead of starving yourself for 2 days a week (bonkers) and filling my twitter feed with how hungry you are (dull) (you are now both hungry, bonkers and dull, you're practically the wrong Olsen twin)
Now, i shall stop and get to my point:
I do have a resolution of sorts. 100 Days of Happy. It's not going to change the world, unless we all did it, then maybe it would?! But it seems worth a go!
The Premise of the website is that "people don't have time to be happy". As mentioned before, I am, for now, unemployed. I have ALL the time in the world.
I have the time to go the the gym, do a few loads of washing and then knit a dachshund whilst listening to an audio book.
Time is not really a factor for me.
But I like being Happy.
100 days. 100 Happy things that made me happy.

- Eat Better Food.
- Eat Less Food.
- MOVE MORE (this does not include moving to the fridge)

Day 3. 10/01/2014
I found this on a recently passed Fiat (complete with little green Ps) in a Carpark.
The car next to it, and writer of note, was a Porsche.
Let's do a little detective work:
Handwriting and Porsche = Old and wealthy.
Green P's and Fiat = Young and...Not as wealthy.
This is a prime example of passive aggressive car park bullying. Something i will not stand for. Never have. Never will.
How dare the old wealthy Porsche make the newcomer Fiat feel inferior, They could have just passed their test and feel on top of the world, celebrated by going to get a pint of milk, and he's passively pooped all over that parade. How Very Dare He.
For the record... Fiat had parked on the white line. not over. They had also parked next to a pillar. tricky.
So, like a Fairy God Father i took the note off the fiat, so no one need know.
And whilst passive aggressive Porsches still make me a little bit angry, that little act of kindness made me happy. No such thing as Altruism.
Moral of the Story: Even if you have a nice car, that doesn't mean you don't have to be nice.

“The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. And now, here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out, and taken yours”
― Alan Bennett, The History Boys.
